- Assist nursing staff and physicians in providing patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide basic patient care, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Help patients with mobility and transportation needs.
- Collect and record patient information, such as medical history and current symptoms.
- Assist with medical procedures, such as taking blood samples or administering medications.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with compassionate and respectful care.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and confidentiality.
- Continuously update and maintain knowledge of emergency care procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Adhere to all infection control measures to prevent the spread of illness.
- Assist in the triage process, prioritizing patients based on severity of condition.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate assistance as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and observations.

- Flexibility to work various shifts and schedules as needed.

- Serve as a positive and professional representative of Piedmont Healthcare to patients, families, and visitors.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Patient Care Tech In The Emergency Department At Piedmont Healthcare Must Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: A Valid Cna Certification Is Usually Required For A Patient Care Tech Position At Piedmont Healthcare.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Patient Care Tech In The Emergency Department, Having A Current Bls Certification Is Necessary To Provide Basic Emergency Care.
Minimum Of 6 Months Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In The Emergency Department, Is Preferred For This Position.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Patient Care Tech, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial. Candidates Should Also Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Provide Compassionate And Empathetic Care.
