
Patient Care Technician, Cardiac Surgery

- Provide direct patient care: The primary responsibility of the Patient Care Technician will be to provide direct care to patients before, during, and after cardiac surgery procedures. This includes monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and administering medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety: The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of patients at all times. This includes maintaining a clean and organized patient environment, responding to patient requests, and promptly reporting any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: The Patient Care Technician will work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. This includes communicating any changes in patient status, assisting with procedures, and following care plans.
- Perform administrative tasks: The Patient Care Technician will also be responsible for completing administrative tasks such as updating patient charts, recording vital signs, and documenting patient care. They may also be responsible for ordering supplies and maintaining equipment.
