- Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from various locations within the healthcare facility, including patient rooms, diagnostic testing areas, and other treatment areas.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the safe and comfortable transfer of patients, including proper use of equipment such as stretchers, wheelchairs, and beds.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare staff to provide a positive and supportive patient experience.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition or behavior during transport, and provide appropriate assistance or alert the appropriate healthcare team members as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and stored after use.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to minimize the risk of transmission of infections to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and timely patient transfers, and assist with any additional tasks or duties as needed.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with patients and their families, and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Attend and participate in all necessary training, education, and meetings to maintain and improve skills and knowledge related to patient transport.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Patient Transporter Job At Piedmont Healthcare Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of English, Math, And Other Relevant Subjects.
Cpr And Basic Life Support Certification: The Job Of A Patient Transporter Involves Working With Patients Who May Have Medical Emergencies. Therefore, A Candidate Must Have A Current Cpr And Basic Life Support Certification To Handle Such Situations Effectively.
