1. Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from various locations within the healthcare facility, including patient rooms, diagnostic testing areas, and other treatment areas.
2. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the safe and comfortable transfer of patients, including proper use of equipment such as stretchers, wheelchairs, and beds.
3. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare staff to provide a positive and supportive patient experience.
4. Monitor and report any changes in patient condition or behavior during transport, and provide appropriate assistance or alert the appropriate healthcare team members as needed.
5. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and stored after use.
6. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to minimize the risk of transmission of infections to patients, staff, and visitors.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and timely patient transfers, and assist with any additional tasks or duties as needed.
8. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with patients and their families, and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
9. Attend and participate in all necessary training, education, and meetings to maintain and improve skills and knowledge related to patient transport.
