
Respiratory Equipment Technician

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all respiratory equipment within our facility, as well as ensuring that it is properly cleaned and sanitized. - Conduct regular maintenance and repairs of all respiratory equipment within the facility.
- Ensure all respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized according to industry standards and facility protocols.
- Keep detailed records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including any issues or concerns.
- Work closely with respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure equipment is functioning properly for patient use.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment malfunctions or issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide training and support to staff on proper use and care of respiratory equipment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices for respiratory equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to order necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assist with inventory management of respiratory equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures related to respiratory equipment and patient care.
- Prioritize and manage workload to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge And Experience With Respiratory Equipment: A Qualified Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Various Respiratory Equipment And Their Functions, As Well As Hands-On Experience With Troubleshooting And Maintenance.
Certification In Respiratory Therapy: A Respiratory Equipment Technician Should Have A Valid Certification In Respiratory Therapy From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Handle Respiratory Equipment.
Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Team Members Is Crucial In This Role. A Candidate Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Provide Clear Instructions And Explanations.
Detail-Oriented And Organized: Attention To Detail Is Critical In Maintaining Accurate Records And Ensuring Proper Functioning Of Respiratory Equipment. A Candidate Should Be Highly Organized And Able To Prioritize Tasks To Meet Deadlines.
