  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
  2. Utilize advanced nursing skills and knowledge to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
  3. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  5. Educate and support patients and their families throughout the labor and delivery process.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  8. Ensure patient safety and promote a positive patient experience.
  9. Stay current with advancements in labor and delivery care and participate in ongoing education and training.
  10. Serve as a patient advocate, addressing any concerns or needs and working to resolve any issues.
  11. Assist with the coordination and management of patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  12. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and provide prompt and appropriate interventions.
  13. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and coordinated care.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
  15. Promote a culture of excellence and teamwork within the Labor and Delivery unit.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License In The State Of Georgia: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Rn License In The State Of Georgia, Ensuring They Meet All Necessary Requirements To Practice As A Registered Nurse.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn): A Bsn Degree Is Preferred For This Role, As It Demonstrates The Candidate's Commitment To Their Education And Understanding Of Advanced Nursing Principles.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Labor And Delivery Experience: The Ideal Candidate Will Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Labor And Delivery Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of All Aspects Of Childbirth And Postpartum Care.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: Candidates Must Have Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications, Showing Their Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Care.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: Working In Labor And Delivery Requires Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Think Quickly And Critically In High-Pressure Situations. Candidates Should Possess These Skills In Order To Provide The Best Possible Care To Patients And Their Families.
