Staff Pharmacist

1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients in accordance with state and federal laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
2. Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
3. Communicate with healthcare providers and patients to provide medication counseling and resolve any medication-related issues.
4. Maintain proper storage and handling of medications to ensure their effectiveness and safety.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement patient care plans.
6. Keep accurate records and documentation of medication use, dispensing, and patient information.
7. Stay up-to-date on new medications, drug therapies, and industry developments to ensure the highest level of patient care.
8. Monitor medication inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain an adequate supply.
9. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing medication-related policies and procedures.
11. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
13. Attend continuing education programs and maintain a current and active license as a Pharmacist.
14. Mentor and train new pharmacists and pharmacy technicians as needed.
15. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or other supervising healthcare professionals.
