In this role, you will play a vital role in assisting our dedicated surgeons in performing procedures for expectant mothers and their newborns.   1. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures for expectant mothers and newborns.
  2. Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the operating room.
  3. Prepare surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
  5. Communicate effectively with surgeons and other healthcare team members during procedures.
  6. Anticipate needs of surgeons and provide necessary support and assistance.
  7. Ensure proper handling and disposal of surgical specimens.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  9. Document and report any deviations or complications during procedures.
  10. Assist in the transportation and positioning of patients before and after surgery.
  11. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
  12. Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on surgical techniques and procedures.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  15. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Surgical Technician Training Program Or Equivalent Education And Experience.

  • Current Certification As A Surgical Technologist (Cst) Through The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technician In A Labor And Delivery Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Labor And Delivery Surgical Procedures And Equipment, Including Fetal Monitoring And C-Section Deliveries.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, And Demonstrate Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills With Other Healthcare Professionals.
