You will work closely with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and healthy delivery of newborns. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to educate and empower women to make informed decisions about their bodies and their health.To be successful in this role, you must have a current Certified Nurse Midwife license and a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or birth center setting.   1. Provide comprehensive care to pregnant women throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period.
  2. Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and healthy delivery of newborns.
  3. Educate and empower women to make informed decisions about their bodies and their health.
  4. Maintain a current Certified Nurse Midwife license and adhere to all state and federal regulations.
  5. Utilize evidence-based practices to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
  7. Participate in the development and implementation of care plans and treatment options for pregnant women.
  8. Monitor and assess the health of both mother and baby during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
  9. Provide support and guidance to women during the postpartum period, including breastfeeding education and newborn care.
  10. Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  11. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in the field of midwifery.
  12. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families.
  14. Serve as an advocate for women's health and promote a positive and empowering birth experience.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve upon the quality of care provided to patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Midwifery From An Accredited Program.

  • Current Certification As A Nurse Midwife By The American Midwifery Certification Board (Amcb).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Certified Nurse Midwife In A Hospital Or Birthing Center Setting.

  • Active And Unrestricted Rn And Aprn Licenses In The State Where The Position Is Located.

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices In Obstetrics And Gynecology, Including Prenatal Care, Labor And Delivery, And Postpartum Care.
