Job Description

Providence St. Joseph Health is currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our PACE program. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in our mission to provide comprehensive, person-centered care to our participants. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, empathetic, and possess strong communication skills.   1. Provide compassionate care to elderly and disabled participants in the PACE program.
  2. Assist participants with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  3. Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  5. Observe and report any changes in participants' physical or mental health to healthcare team.
  6. Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for participants.
  7. Communicate effectively with participants, families, and healthcare team members.
  8. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement care plans.
  9. Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure quality and safety in care delivery.
  10. Provide emotional support and companionship to participants.
  11. Document all care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and respect participant's rights and dignity.
  14. Collaborate with other CNAs and healthcare team members to provide coordinated care.
  15. Adhere to state and federal regulations and guidelines for CNAs.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A State-Approved Cna Training Program: Candidates For A Cna Position At Providence St. Joseph Health Must Have Completed A State-Approved Training Program That Includes Both Classroom Instruction And Hands-On Clinical Experience.

  • Active Cna Certification: Candidates Must Possess An Active Certification As A Cna In The State Where The Position Is Located. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Quality Care To Patients.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Cnas At Providence St. Joseph Health Must Have A Current Bls Certification, As They May Be Required To Provide Emergency Medical Care To Patients.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Cnas Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members. This Includes Active Listening, Understanding Non-Verbal Cues, And Being Empathetic And Compassionate.

  • Physical And Mental Stamina: Cnas Must Have The Physical And Mental Stamina To Handle The Demands Of The Job, Which May Include Lifting And Moving Patients, Standing For Long Periods Of Time, And Handling Emotionally Challenging Situations. They Must Also Be Able To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks Effectively.
