  1. Develop and implement research protocols and procedures in accordance with institutional and federal guidelines.
  2. Screen and enroll eligible patients into clinical trials, ensuring compliance with study protocols and ethical standards.
  3. Provide comprehensive patient education and informed consent for participation in clinical trials.
  4. Monitor and assess patient response to treatment and report any adverse events or changes in condition to the research team.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and modify treatment plans based on research findings.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and data collection in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  7. Oversee the coordination and logistics of research procedures, including scheduling and coordinating study visits, tests, and procedures.
  8. Ensure proper handling, storage, and administration of investigational drugs and study materials.
  9. Educate and train other healthcare professionals on research protocols and procedures.
  10. Participate in research team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of research projects.
  11. Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the research team, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns or questions.
  12. Stay up-to-date on current research developments, trends, and best practices in cancer care.
  13. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  14. Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality in all aspects of research.
  15. Collaborate with other departments and organizations to promote and advance cancer research initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Clinical Research Registered Nurse At Providence St. Joseph Health Must Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Rn License: The Candidate Must Hold A Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice.

  • Specialized Training In Oncology: A Minimum Of One Year Of Experience In A Clinical Research Setting Is Required, And Specialized Training Or Certification In Oncology Nursing Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Research Protocols And Regulations: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Clinical Research Protocols And Regulations, Including Good Clinical Practice (Gcp) Guidelines And Regulatory Requirements.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Member Of The Research Team, The Clinical Research Registered Nurse Must Possess Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals Involved In The Research Process.
