- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for young children based on best practices and educational standards.
- Create a warm and welcoming environment for children and families, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
- Observe and assess children's development and progress, identifying and addressing any individual needs or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child's development and learning.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and execute activities, events, and special projects.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom, ensuring all materials and equipment are age-appropriate and in good condition.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture, promoting respect, empathy, and diversity.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and new research in early childhood education.
- Actively engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and other daily routines, promoting social-emotional development and building positive relationships.
- Adhere to all licensing and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records and documentation as needed.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for assistant teachers and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in team-building activities, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Early Childhood Education Or A Related Field.
State-Issued Teaching Certification Or License.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Teaching In An Early Childhood Setting.
Knowledge Of Developmentally Appropriate Practices And Curriculum For Young Children.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Children, Parents, And Colleagues.
