
EEG Technician - Sleep Laboratory

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting and analyzing EEG tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting. - Conduct EEG tests: Perform EEG tests on patients to gather data and monitor brain activity during sleep.
- Analyze results: Interpret EEG data and analyze results to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
- Monitor patients: Observe patients during EEG tests to ensure accurate data collection and provide immediate assistance if necessary.
- Maintain equipment: Ensure all EEG equipment is properly calibrated and maintained for accurate test results.
- Communicate with healthcare team: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to discuss test results and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients: Inform patients about the EEG testing process, answer any questions or concerns, and provide instructions for proper preparation.
- Document findings: Accurately record and document EEG test results and patient information in medical records.
- Stay updated on industry advancements: Stay current on the latest advancements in neurophysiology and EEG technology to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Maintain confidentiality: Adhere to patient confidentiality guidelines and ensure all sensitive information is handled with the utmost care.
- Ensure safety: Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe testing environment for patients and staff.

- Participate in training and development: Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge in the field.

Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Bachelor's Degree In Neurodiagnostics Or A Related Field, Or Completion Of An Accredited Eeg Technician Program.
Certification As A Registered Eeg Technologist (R. Eeg T.) Through The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret).
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Experience As An Eeg Technician, Preferably In A Sleep Laboratory Setting.
Proficiency In Performing And Interpreting A Variety Of Eeg Procedures, Including Routine, Ambulatory, And Long-Term Monitoring.
