- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of geriatric patients' physical, mental, and emotional health.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and provide ongoing medical care for geriatric patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and manage care for geriatric patients.
- Educate patients and their families about age-related health issues and available resources.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and best practices in geriatric medicine.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and sensitivity when working with geriatric patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure high-quality care.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in healthcare.
- Monitor and address any changes in geriatric patients' conditions and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the care provided to geriatric patients.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.

Medical Degree: A Geriatric Physician At Providence St. Joseph Health Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Geriatric Medicine By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim) Or The American Board Of Family Medicine (Abfm).
Residency Training: Applicants Must Have Completed A Residency Program In Internal Medicine Or Family Medicine, With A Focus On Geriatrics.
State Medical License: Candidates Must Hold A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing.
Experience In Geriatric Care: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Geriatric Care Is Preferred, With A Strong Understanding Of Age-Related Diseases, Conditions, And Treatments. Experience Working In A Senior Care Facility Or Hospice Setting Is Also Desirable.
