
Interventional Pulmonologist

As an Interventional Pulmonologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating conditions such as lung cancer, COPD, and asthma through minimally invasive techniques. Our ideal candidate is a board-certified Pulmonologist with additional training and experience in interventional procedures. - Diagnose and treat patients with lung diseases, including but not limited to lung cancer, COPD, and asthma, using advanced interventional techniques.
- Perform minimally invasive procedures such as bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), navigational bronchoscopy, and electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy (ENB).
- Evaluate patients' medical histories, symptoms, and diagnostic test results to determine the most effective course of treatment.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in pulmonary medicine and interventional procedures.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care, addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients and their families.
- Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and ways to manage their disease.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the practice of medicine.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient care.
- Keep abreast of current coding and billing guidelines to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Mentor and supervise medical residents and fellows, as applicable.
- Participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and other educational activities to enhance professional development.
- Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including completing reports, forms, and other documentation as required by the organization.
Medical Degree (Md Or Do) From An Accredited Institution
Completion Of A Residency Program In Internal Medicine Or Pulmonary Medicine
Board Certification In Pulmonary Medicine And Interventional Pulmonology
At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Interventional Pulmonology Procedures, Such As Bronchoscopy And Thoracentesis
Active State Medical License And Dea Certification
