Job Description

Join our team at Providence St. Joseph Health as a Lead Electrician in our Facilities Management department! As a Lead Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our healthcare facilities. We are looking for an experienced and skilled electrician with a strong background in facilities management to lead our team and maintain the electrical systems throughout our facilities.   1. Oversee and manage the electrical systems and equipment in all healthcare facilities within the organization.
  2. Lead a team of electricians to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
  4. Troubleshoot and repair any electrical issues that arise in the facilities.
  5. Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all electrical equipment.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  7. Coordinate with other departments and teams to schedule electrical maintenance and repair work.
  8. Keep accurate records of all electrical work performed and maintain inventory of electrical supplies.
  9. Train and mentor junior electricians on safety procedures and best practices.
  10. Stay updated with new electrical technologies and equipment to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  11. Communicate effectively with management and other team members to report any issues and provide updates on ongoing projects.
  12. Provide excellent customer service to all departments and respond promptly to any electrical emergencies.
  13. Collaborate with contractors and vendors for larger electrical projects or repairs.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  15. Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements for the electrical systems and processes within the facilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Licensed Electrician In A Commercial Or Healthcare Facility.

  • Knowledge Of Building Codes, Safety Regulations, And Industry Best Practices For Electrical Systems.

  • Ability To Lead A Team Of Electricians And Other Facilities Maintenance Staff, Including Delegation Of Tasks And Troubleshooting Complex Issues.

  • Familiarity With Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Cmms) And Ability To Use Technology For Scheduling, Tracking, And Reporting Maintenance Tasks.

  • Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Departments, Contractors, And Vendors To Ensure Timely And Efficient Completion Of Electrical Projects And Repairs.
