
Physician Assistant Medical Weight Loss

- Provide personalized and evidence-based care to patients enrolled in the Medical Weight Loss program.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized weight loss plans for patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and lab tests, to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
- Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure successful weight loss outcomes.
- Educate and counsel patients on healthy lifestyle habits, including nutrition, exercise, and stress management.
- Assist with procedures and treatments, such as medication management, injections, and minor surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for each patient, following all HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and developments in the field of weight loss to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and other healthcare providers to ensure proper coverage and coordination of care for patients.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of weight loss.
- Uphold the values and mission of Providence St. Joseph Health in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
Bachelor's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies Or Related Field
Current Certification As A Physician Assistant (Pa-C) By The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Medical Weight Loss Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Nutrition, Exercise, And Weight Management Principles
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Educate And Motivate Patients Towards Weight Loss Goals.
