
Registered Nurse- Vascular Access

- Perform vascular access procedures: The Vascular Access Nurse will be responsible for performing a variety of vascular access procedures, including but not limited to IV insertion, central line placement, and PICC line placement.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety: The Vascular Access Nurse will prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout all procedures. This includes following proper infection control protocols and monitoring patients for any signs of discomfort or adverse reactions.
- Provide specialized care: The Vascular Access Nurse will provide specialized care to patients with specific vascular access needs, such as patients with difficult veins or those requiring frequent access for medical treatment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: The Vascular Access Nurse will work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to ensure the best possible care for patients.
- Educate and support patients and families: The Vascular Access Nurse will educate patients and their families on the importance of proper vascular access care and provide support and resources to help them manage their treatment at home.
- Document and maintain records: The Vascular Access Nurse will accurately document all procedures, assessments, and interventions in the patient's medical records and ensure that all records are maintained according to facility policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on best practices: The Vascular Access Nurse will stay updated on the latest best practices and guidelines related to vascular access procedures and implement them into practice to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives: The Vascular Access Nurse will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide input to improve processes, protocols, and procedures related to vascular access care.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards: The Vascular Access Nurse will adhere to all ethical and legal standards related to patient care and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Continuously develop knowledge and skills: The Vascular Access Nurse will participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance their knowledge and skills in the
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution
Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Vascular Access And Iv Therapy
Certification In Vascular Access (Va-Bc) Or Infusion Nursing (Crni)
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practices And Standards Related To Vascular Access And Infusion Therapy
