Job Description

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their strength and independence. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CNA to join our team and support our patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.   1. Provide compassionate care to patients in the Inpatient Rehabilitation unit.
  2. Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  3. Monitor and report any changes in patients' physical or mental condition.
  4. Help patients with rehabilitation exercises and activities as directed by healthcare professionals.
  5. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patients' needs are met and care plans are followed.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
  7. Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  9. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their rehabilitation journey.
  10. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  11. Attend all required training and educational programs to maintain current knowledge and skills.
  12. Continuously assess and improve own performance to provide the highest quality care.
  13. Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute ideas for enhancing patient care.
  14. Maintain a professional and positive attitude towards patients, families, and coworkers.
  15. Comply with all state and federal regulations and maintain CNA certification.
  16. Adhere to safety guidelines and take appropriate action in emergency situations.
  17. Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by the nurse manager or healthcare team.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Cna Certification: Candidates Must Hold A Current And Valid Cna Certification From An Accredited Program.

  • Experience In Rehabilitation Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Rehabilitation Unit Or With Patients Undergoing Rehabilitation Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Patient Care And Safety Protocols: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Patient Care And Safety Protocols, Including Infection Control And Emergency Procedures.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Inpatient Rehabilitation Units Can Be Busy And Dynamic Environments, So Candidates Should Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively Under Pressure.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Cnas In This Role Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Their Families, And A Multidisciplinary Team Of Healthcare Professionals, So Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential.
