Assists professional staff in routine technical tasks such as: preparation of reagents, specimen processing, loading instruments and send outs. Other duties to include filing, temperature checks, stocking supplies, answering telephone calls, etc. Receives specimens into the laboratory using Cerner and QLS LIS systems. Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed; other duties as assigned. Follow employer policies; work with fellow employees in a professional, productive manner. Responsible for completing all data entry requirements accurately including data entry of patient registration; entry of test order from requisition or pulling order from database; managing Standing Orders.
