
Senior EHS Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and promote a safe and healthy workplace for our employees. - Develop and implement EHS programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Train and educate employees on EHS policies and procedures, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Monitor and track EHS metrics to measure the effectiveness of programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain a culture of safety and promote best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert on EHS regulations and provide guidance and support to management and employees.
- Conduct investigations and root cause analyses of EHS incidents and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
- Coordinate and participate in emergency response planning and drills to ensure preparedness for potential crises.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and contractors to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
- Keep abreast of new developments and advancements in EHS practices and incorporate them into company policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Science, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Ehs Management, Preferably In A Laboratory Or Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Ehs Regulations And Compliance Requirements
Professional Certification Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih)
Strong Communication, Leadership, And Project Management Skills, With Experience In Implementing And Managing Ehs Programs And Initiatives.
