  1. Conduct radiation surveys and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  2. Develop and implement radiation protection programs to mitigate risks and ensure safe working conditions.
  3. Monitor and report on radiation levels and exposures within the workplace.
  4. Provide expert advice and guidance on radiation safety and protection to management and employees.
  5. Conduct training and education programs on radiation safety for employees.
  6. Review and update radiation safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  7. Oversee the maintenance and calibration of radiation monitoring equipment.
  8. Investigate and report on any incidents or issues related to radiation safety.
  9. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure radiation safety measures are integrated into all aspects of operations.
  10. Stay informed about new developments and regulations in the field of health physics and make recommendations for improvements to current practices.
  11. Manage and mentor junior health physicists within the team.
  12. Represent the company in meetings and discussions with regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
  13. Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance with radiation safety regulations and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  14. Keep accurate records and documentation related to radiation safety and compliance.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the company's radiation safety program.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Health Physics Or A Related Field: A Senior Health Physicist At Rolls-Royce Holdings Should Possess A Graduate Degree (Master's Or Phd) In Health Physics Or A Related Field Such As Nuclear Engineering, Radiation Protection, Or Environmental Health And Safety.

  • Relevant Work Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Health Physics, Preferably In A Leadership Role. Experience In The Nuclear Industry Or With A Regulatory Agency Would Be Highly Desirable.

  • Knowledge Of Nuclear Regulations And Standards: The Senior Health Physicist Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of National And International Regulations And Standards Related To Radiation Safety And Nuclear Operations. This Includes Knowledge Of Iaea, Nrc, And Epa Regulations.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: In This Role, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Analyzing Complex Radiation Data, Conducting Risk Assessments, And Developing Strategies To Mitigate Radiation Hazards. Therefore, Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills Are Essential.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Senior Health Physicist, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Lead And Mentor A Team Of Health Physics Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Communicate Technical Information And Provide Guidance To The Team.
