  1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth for the SALT practice.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  3. Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  4. Stay up-to-date on state and local tax laws and regulations, and effectively communicate changes and updates to clients and team members.
  5. Meet and exceed sales targets, demonstrating a strong understanding of the sales process and utilizing effective sales techniques.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the sales leadership team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  7. Act as a subject matter expert on SALT matters, providing guidance and expertise to clients and team members.
  8. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and use this knowledge to differentiate RSM US's SALT services.
  9. Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively present and negotiate with clients and internal stakeholders.
  10. Continuously monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive growth.
  11. Represent RSM US at industry events and conferences to promote the SALT practice and generate new business opportunities.
  12. Mentor and train new sales team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to ensure their success.
  13. Collaborate with other departments within RSM US to ensure a seamless client experience and maximize cross-selling opportunities.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports.
  15. Demonstrate RSM US's core values of respect, integrity, teamwork, excellence, and stewardship in all interactions and activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of State And Local Tax Laws And Regulations: A Senior Manager In Salt Sales And Use Tax At Rsm Us Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Complex And Ever-Changing State And Local Tax Landscape. This Includes Familiarity With Various State And Local Tax Laws, Regulations, And Compliance Requirements.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Senior Manager, This Role Will Involve Overseeing And Managing A Team Of Sales And Use Tax Professionals. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills Are Essential To Effectively Guide And Motivate Team Members To Achieve Their Goals.

  • Proven Sales And Business Development Experience: In Addition To Managing A Team, A Senior Manager In Salt Sales And Use Tax Is Responsible For Driving Business Growth And Fostering Client Relationships. Therefore, Candidates Should Have A Track Record Of Success In Sales And Business Development, Preferably In The Salt Field.

  • Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills: This Role Involves Communicating Complex Tax Concepts And Strategies To Clients And Team Members. A Senior Manager Should Have Exceptional Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Deliver Effective Presentations.

  • Advanced Degree And/Or Professional Certifications: Many Senior Manager Roles At Rsm Us Require Candidates To Have An Advanced Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field. In Addition, Professional Certifications Such As Cpa, Cmi, Or Cmi-S Are Highly Valued And May Be Required For This Position.
