Procurement Specialist

A successful candidate will be highly organized and have the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Business, or Accounting, and has at least 5 years of experience in a procurement role. Knowledge of government contracting and purchasing regulations is a plus. They should demonstrate excellent communication skills, be a self-starter, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work. Above all, the successful candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and a passion for developing relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the procurement process, including supplier selection, price negotiation, and procurement of goods and services.
2. Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers.
3. Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals, to ensure best value.
4. Prepare and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
5. Monitor and manage performance of suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
6. Track procurement and supplier performance metrics.
7. Ensure compliance with all purchasing regulations, including government regulations.
8. Develop and implement best practices for supplier management.
9. Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
10. Manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
