  1. Operate and monitor air traffic control systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient air traffic operations at O'Hare International Airport.
  2. Communicate clearly and effectively with air traffic controllers, pilots, and other aviation personnel to facilitate the flow of air traffic.
  3. Monitor and analyze radar and other surveillance data to identify potential conflicts and take appropriate action to prevent them.
  4. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and secure air traffic control environment.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all air traffic activities and incidents.
  6. Continuously assess and evaluate air traffic situations to make informed decisions and take appropriate actions.
  7. Act as a liaison between air traffic controllers and pilots during emergency situations.
  8. Stay up-to-date with all relevant regulations and procedures related to air traffic control.
  9. Troubleshoot and report any technical issues with air traffic control equipment.
  10. Collaborate with other team members and assist with training and onboarding of new Remote Pilot Operators.
  11. Flexibility to work in rotating shifts and adapt to changing work schedules as needed.
  12. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  13. Exhibit a positive and professional attitude towards colleagues, superiors, and clients.
  14. Continuously strive to improve skills and knowledge in the field of air traffic control.

Job Qualifications

  • Faa Remote Pilot Certificate: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Faa Remote Pilot Certificate With A Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Suas) Rating.

  • Knowledge Of Air Traffic Control: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Air Traffic Control Procedures And Terminology, As Well As Knowledge Of Airspace Regulations.

  • Experience With Simulation Systems: Previous Experience With Simulation Systems, Specifically Air Traffic Control Simulation, Is Highly Desired For This Role.

  • Communication Skills: Effective Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Position. The Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Concisely With Air Traffic Controllers And Other Team Members.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Remote Pilot Operator, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Order To Accurately Simulate Air Traffic Scenarios And Ensure The Safety Of Simulated Flights. The Candidate Should Have A Strong Eye For Detail And The Ability To Quickly Identify And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise During Simulation Exercises.
