Job Description

At Saint Francis Health System, we are looking for an Admitting Representative who is passionate about providing high-quality patient care. Our ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and customer service skills, as well as a commitment to delivering outstanding service to our patients and their families. The Admitting Representative is responsible for providing patients and their families with accurate information regarding registration, insurance verification, and payment collection. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of medical office experience, and a thorough knowledge of admitting practices, regulations, and procedures. The ideal candidate must also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and committed to delivering exceptional service to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and register patients in accordance with admitting practices, regulations, and procedures.
  2. Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
  3. Collect patient payments and process credit card transactions.
  4. Accurately enter patient data into the hospital’s computer system.
  5. Answer patients’ questions and address any concerns they may have.
  6. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  8. Work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure patient satisfaction.
  9. Provide assistance with scheduling appointments and completing paperwork.
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
