Coder Specialist

Responsibilities:

1. Verify accuracy and completeness of medical coding for all healthcare services
2. Ensure that all coding is in compliance with applicable standards and regulations
3. Manage and prioritize coding tasks and assignments
4. Maintain current knowledge of coding and reimbursement regulations and standards
5. Provide coding support to other departments within the healthcare system
6. Assist in developing and implementing coding policies and procedures
7. Facilitate coding audits as needed
8. Utilize coding software and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency
9. Participate in coding education and training activities
10. Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers
11. Provide coding support to other departments in the healthcare system
12. Document coding activities and decisions
