- Record and analyze heart activity: Utilize EKG equipment to accurately record and analyze patients' heart activity, including interpreting and reporting any abnormalities or irregularities.
- Collaborate with medical team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely delivery of test results, providing necessary information for diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Maintain equipment: Properly maintain and troubleshoot EKG equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Educate patients: Educate patients about the EKG procedure, answering any questions or concerns they may have and providing clear instructions for preparation and aftercare.

Completion Of An Accredited Ekg Technician Program: Applicants Should Have Completed A Formal Training Program In Ekg Technology From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Effectively.
Certification As An Ekg Technician: Candidates Should Have A Current Certification As An Ekg Technician From A Recognized Certifying Body Such As The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Or The American Society Of Phlebotomy Technicians (Aspt).
