Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Control Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory and distribution of medical supplies and equipment throughout our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management and excellent communication skills to collaborate with various departments. If you are passionate about ensuring the smooth flow of supplies and materials to support our healthcare professionals, we would love to hear from you.

  1. Manage inventory levels and track usage of medical supplies and equipment across all facilities within the health system.
  2. Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
  3. Collaborate with purchasing and accounts payable teams to ensure timely and accurate ordering, receiving, and payment of materials.
  4. Communicate with department heads and healthcare professionals to understand their supply needs and ensure timely delivery.
  5. Develop and implement processes to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and minimize stock-outs.
  6. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  7. Train and supervise staff responsible for inventory management and distribution.
  8. Identify and implement cost-saving measures and efficiencies in the supply chain management process.
  9. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines related to the handling and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
  10. Proactively identify and address any potential supply chain disruptions or issues that may impact the availability of critical materials.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management to continually improve processes and procedures.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to support the overall goals and objectives of the health system.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Material Control, Inventory Management, Or Supply Chain Management.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Industry Regulations And Standards.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Departments And Vendors.
