
Material Control Coordinator

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory and distribution of medical supplies and equipment throughout our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management and excellent communication skills to collaborate with various departments. - Manage inventory levels and track usage of medical supplies and equipment across all facilities within the health system.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with purchasing and accounts payable teams to ensure timely and accurate ordering, receiving, and payment of materials.
- Communicate with department heads and healthcare professionals to understand their supply needs and ensure timely delivery.
- Develop and implement processes to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and minimize stock-outs.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Train and supervise staff responsible for inventory management and distribution.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures and efficiencies in the supply chain management process.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines related to the handling and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
- Proactively identify and address any potential supply chain disruptions or issues that may impact the availability of critical materials.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management to continually improve processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to support the overall goals and objectives of the health system.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Material Control, Inventory Management, Or Supply Chain Management.
Knowledge Of Healthcare Industry Regulations And Standards.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Departments And Vendors.
