Medical Assistant - Colon and Rectal Surgery

Responsibilites:

1. Assist the Colon and Rectal Surgery team with patient care and clinical duties.
2. Ensure accuracy of patient records and medical documentation.
3. Assist in scheduling appointments and related administrative tasks.
4. Greet and prepare patients for examination.
5. Take and record patient vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information.
6. Assist with medical exams, treatments, and procedures as instructed by physician.
7. Administer medications and injections as directed.
8. Collect and process laboratory specimens.
9. Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient examinations.
10. Educate patients on treatment plans and medications.
11. Ensure that the clinic is clean and organized.
12. Handle medical billing and coding duties.
13. Answer calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
14. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
