The Medical Assistant - Pediatrics will be responsible for performing clinical and administrative tasks to support the pediatric provider.We are seeking an individual with a minimum of two years of experience in a medical office setting, a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification, and a current CPR certification. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 codes, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems is essential. Understanding of insurance plans and filing claims is also a must. Responsibilities:

1. Assist the pediatric provider with clinical and administrative tasks, including patient check-ins, vital signs, medical history documentation, laboratory tests, vaccinations, and other procedures.
2. Prepare and maintain patient charts, including medical records, insurance information, and other pertinent data.
3. Answer phones, respond to messages, and schedule patient appointments.
4. Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatments, medications, and other health-related issues.
5. Assist with the filing of insurance claims and other paperwork.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
