
Medical Assistant - Pediatrics

The Medical Assistant - Pediatrics will be responsible for performing clinical and administrative tasks to support the pediatric provider.We are seeking an individual with a minimum of two years of experience in a medical office setting, a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification, and a current CPR certification. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 codes, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems is essential. Understanding of insurance plans and filing claims is also a must. Responsibilities:
- Assist the pediatric provider with clinical and administrative tasks, including patient check-ins, vital signs, medical history documentation, laboratory tests, vaccinations, and other procedures.
- Prepare and maintain patient charts, including medical records, insurance information, and other pertinent data.
- Answer phones, respond to messages, and schedule patient appointments.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatments, medications, and other health-related issues.
- Assist with the filing of insurance claims and other paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
