
Paramedic - Urgent Care
The Saint Francis Health System is seeking an experienced, compassionate Paramedic to join our Urgent Care team. Our ideal candidate will be a team-oriented, dedicated healthcare professional with a commitment to providing excellent patient care. The Paramedic will be responsible for assessing and treating patients in urgent care settings, as well as providing both basic and advanced life support.The successful candidate must possess a current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification, along with a valid CPR and ACLS certification. Additionally, an Associate’s degree in a related field and at least two (2) years of experience working in an emergency room or urgent care setting is preferred. The ideal candidate must also be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and must have excellent communication and patient assessment skills.If you are a skilled professional in search of a challenging and rewarding career, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls in urgent care settings and assess patients for medical conditions.
- Provide advanced life support and administer medications as needed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and record medical history.
- Provide patient education and support, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Ensure all medical equipment is in proper working condition and keep accurate documentation of patient care.
- Maintain a valid National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification, as well as a valid CPR and ACLS certification.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Exercise excellent communication and patient assessment skills.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and all other applicable healthcare regulations.
Current Certification As An Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) Or Paramedic
Current Valid Driver’s License
Current Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls)
Demonstrated Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
Prior Experience In An Urgent Care Setting
Ability To Respond Quickly And Calmly To Urgent And Emergency Situations
