
Registered Nurse - Hospice

- Provide compassionate and dedicated care to hospice patients and their families.
- Utilize expertise and skills to provide comfort and support during the end-of-life journey.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy while working with patients and their families.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Assess and monitor patient’s physical and emotional well-being, and report any changes or concerns to the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Ensure all documentation and records are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations set forth by the hospice program and Saint Francis Health System.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Advocate for patient’s needs and ensure their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Seek out opportunities for professional development and stay updated on current hospice care practices.
- Collaborate with community resources to provide additional support and resources for patients and their families.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with team members and other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the hospice philosophy and mission of providing compassionate end-of-life care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide suggestions for improving patient care.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Active Rn License In The State Of Oklahoma
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Hospice Or Palliative Care
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution
