Trauma Registrar

Saint Francis Health System is searching for a compassionate and detail-oriented Trauma Registrar to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, verifying, and maintaining accurate patient information in accordance with established policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of trauma registry operations, data collection, and analysis, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and DRG coding is essential, as is at least two years of experience in medical records or trauma registry operations. The ability to work with Microsoft Office, Cerner, and other applicable software is also required.

Responsibilities:

1. Collect, verify, and maintain accurate patient information in accordance with established policies and regulations.
2. Utilize ICD-10-CM and DRG coding to accurately and efficiently document patient information.
3. Work with Microsoft Office, Cerner, and other applicable software.
4. Analyze data for accuracy and completeness.
5. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure patient information is maintained properly.
6. Collaborate with other departments and medical staff to ensure accuracy of patient records.
7. Respond to patient inquiries and provide requested information.
8. Provide education and training to other staff on proper documentation procedures.
9. Monitor and audit patient records for accuracy and compliance.
10. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
