Responsibilities:

1. Create, maintain, and analyze cancer registries in accordance with standards set by the National Cancer Institute.
2. Collect and analyze data from medical records to generate reports and statistics related to cancer.
3. Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate and complete data is collected for cancer registries.
4. Monitor patient outcomes and follow-up care for cancer patients.
5. Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy of data.
6. Educate health care providers and staff on cancer registry principles and practices.
7. Assist with the development and implementation of cancer registry policies and procedures.
8. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to cancer registry.
9. Maintain confidentiality of all patient records and information.
10. Provide support to other healthcare professionals as needed.
