Environmental Service Assistant

Salem Health is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Environmental Service Assistant with excellent organizational and communication skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional service and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Environmental Service Assistant plays a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for our patients, guests, and employees.To be successful in this role, the Environmental Service Assistant must have a working knowledge of cleaning products and techniques, the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, and an eye for detail. We are also looking for a team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work in a diverse and multicultural setting.

Responsibilities: • Clean and maintain patient, guest, and employee areas to established standards • Disinfect and sanitize restrooms, exam and treatment rooms, operating rooms, and other areas throughout the facility • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, carpeting, furniture, windows, walls, and other surfaces • Operate vacuum cleaners, mops, sweepers, and other cleaning equipment • Empty and clean waste containers, and transport trash to designated areas • Report any maintenance needs, safety hazards, or other issues to management • Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations • Work in a diverse and multicultural setting • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
