Job Description

Salem Health is seeking an experienced ER Technician to join our Emergency Department team. Our ideal candidate is someone with a passion for providing excellent patient care and a strong desire to be part of a team-oriented environment. We are looking for an individual who has a strong knowledge of healthcare procedures and protocols, and who is committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients.The successful ER Technician candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be certified in CPR and ACLS, and have at least one year of experience in an emergency department setting. The ER Technician must also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think quickly and act calmly and compassionately in emergency situations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent patient care and maintain a high standard of care for our Emergency Department patients.
  2. Maintain a thorough knowledge of healthcare procedures and protocols, and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  3. Monitor patient vital signs, including temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure.
  4. Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate treatments and medications.
  5. Administer CPR and ACLS in emergency situations.
  6. Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  7. Monitor patient progress and document all care provided.
  8. Respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
  9. Remain up-to-date on latest healthcare trends and treatments.
  10. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
