- Overseeing all aspects of respiratory therapy services, including evaluating and implementing new techniques and technologies to improve patient outcomes.
- Ensuring high-quality patient care by supervising and mentoring respiratory therapists and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Managing department operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Staying up-to-date on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance and quality of care.
- Conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing training and development for respiratory therapy staff.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of equipment and supplies.
- Participating in hospital committees and meetings to represent respiratory therapy services and make recommendations for improvement.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with human resources to recruit, interview, and hire new respiratory therapy staff.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to respiratory therapy services.
- Serving as a role model and leader for respiratory therapy staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
- Managing and resolving patient and staff complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities to stay current in the field of respiratory therapy.
Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field
Current Licensure As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt)
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Respiratory Therapist, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Respiratory Therapists
Knowledge Of And Experience With Respiratory Therapy Equipment, Procedures, And Protocols, As Well As Regulatory And Accreditation Standards.
