Job Description

Welcome to Shoe Carnival, where we believe that shopping for shoes should be a fun and exciting experience! We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Processing Clerk to join our team. As a Processing Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all incoming and outgoing merchandise is accurately processed and ready for our customers to purchase. If you have a passion for retail and a knack for keeping things in order, we want to hear from you!

  1. Accurately process incoming and outgoing merchandise to ensure it is ready for sale.
  2. Maintain organization and cleanliness in the processing area.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient processing of merchandise.
  4. Keep track of inventory levels and communicate any shortages or overages to management.
  5. Inspect and report any damaged or defective merchandise.
  6. Follow all company processing procedures and guidelines.
  7. Communicate with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely replenishment of merchandise on the sales floor.
  8. Assist with receiving and unpacking merchandise shipments.
  9. Keep up-to-date with product knowledge to accurately identify and process merchandise.
  10. Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and team members.
  11. Handle customer inquiries and concerns regarding merchandise processing.
  12. Adhere to all safety and security protocols while handling merchandise.
  13. Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
  14. Identify and report any process improvement opportunities.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  16. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  17. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
