If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a DCC Parole/Probation Officer I at the State of Arkansas.As a Parole/Probation Officer, you will play a crucial role in supervising and assisting individuals who have been released from incarceration or placed on probation. You will work closely with these individuals to help them successfully transition back into their communities, while also ensuring public safety.To be successful in this role, you must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain boundaries. A degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred, and previous experience in a similar role is a plus.   1. Supervise and monitor individuals who have been released from incarceration or placed on probation.
  2. Assist in developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans for each client.
  3. Conduct regular meetings and check-ins with clients to assess progress and address any issues.
  4. Attend court hearings and provide detailed reports on client progress and compliance.
  5. Collaborate with other agencies and community resources to provide support and resources for clients.
  6. Enforce conditions of probation/parole and take appropriate action for any violations.
  7. Facilitate group sessions and workshops to help clients develop skills and address issues.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and progress.
  9. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders involved in the client's rehabilitation.
  10. Conduct home visits and employment checks as necessary to ensure compliance.
  11. Provide guidance and support to clients in finding employment, housing, and other necessary resources.
  12. Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and procedures.
  13. Demonstrate a strong understanding of justice and rehabilitation principles.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards at all times.
  15. Act as a positive role model and advocate for clients to help them successfully reintegrate into society.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 1 Year Of Experience In The Criminal Justice System, Preferably In Parole Or Probation.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Parole And Probation, Including Understanding Of Risk Assessment Tools.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds.

  • Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Manage A Caseload, And Meet Deadlines.
