Welcome to the State of Pennsylvania's Fish and Boat Commission! We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Fish Culturist to join our team. As a Fish Culturist, you will play a vital role in the preservation and enhancement of our state's aquatic resources.   1. Manage and maintain fish populations: The Fish Culturist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the health and well-being of fish populations in the state of Pennsylvania.
  2. Perform fish culture activities: This role will involve performing various tasks related to fish culture, such as feeding, breeding, and disease prevention.
  3. Monitor water quality: The Fish Culturist will be responsible for monitoring water quality in fish habitats and making any necessary adjustments to ensure optimal conditions for fish growth and survival.
  4. Collaborate with team members: The Fish Culturist will work closely with other members of the Fish and Boat Commission team to coordinate and implement fish culture plans and activities.

  6. Maintain records: The Fish Culturist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of fish populations, activities, and any other relevant information.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Fisheries, Aquaculture, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Fish Biology, Behavior, And Habitat Requirements.

  • Experience In Fish Culture Techniques, Including Spawning, Rearing, And Stocking.

  • Ability To Operate And Maintain Equipment Used In Fish Culturing, Such As Tanks And Filtration Systems.

  • Familiarity With State And Federal Regulations For Fish Culture And Stocking Of Aquatic Species.
