  1. Develop and implement comprehensive public health programs to address the needs of communities throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
  2. Work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and healthcare providers, to identify and prioritize public health issues and develop effective strategies to address them.
  3. Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing public health programs and identify areas for improvement or expansion.
  5. Stay up-to-date on current public health trends, research, and best practices to inform the development of new programs and initiatives.
  6. Provide leadership and direction to a team of public health professionals, including program coordinators and support staff.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and agencies within the state to ensure coordination and alignment of public health efforts.
  8. Communicate effectively with the public, stakeholders, and other agencies to promote understanding of public health issues and the impact of programs.
  9. Stay knowledgeable about relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to public health and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
  10. Prepare and submit reports to government agencies and other stakeholders as required.
  11. Foster partnerships and collaborations with external organizations to leverage resources and promote the success of public health programs.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of program administration.
  13. Represent the state of Pennsylvania at conferences, events, and other public forums to promote public health initiatives and share best practices.
  14. Continuously assess and adapt programs to ensure alignment with the changing needs of communities and emerging health issues.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of the state of Pennsylvania and the public health department in all aspects of work.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Public Health Or A Related Field, Such As Health Administration Or Health Policy, From An Accredited University.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Or Management Position Within A Public Health Organization, Preferably At The State Level.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Public Health Principles, Practices, And Policies, As Well As Current Issues And Challenges In The Field.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Stakeholders At All Levels, Including Government Officials, Community Organizations, And Healthcare Providers.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Budget Management, Program Planning And Evaluation, And Project Management, As Well As The Ability To Adapt To Changing Priorities And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.
