- Develop and implement agricultural regulations and compliance policies in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of agricultural regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to department staff and agricultural industry professionals on regulatory requirements and compliance measures.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure consistency and alignment of regulations.
- Review and analyze data to identify areas of improvement in regulatory processes and procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and communicate updates to relevant parties.
- Investigate and address any complaints or violations of agricultural regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and industry representatives to gain insight on regulatory needs.
- Oversee and manage a team of compliance officers to ensure efficient and effective execution of regulatory duties.
- Represent the department at meetings, conferences, and other events related to agricultural regulations and compliance.
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management and government officials.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to regulatory activities.
- Uphold the integrity and reputation of the state's agricultural industry through fair and consistent enforcement of regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Agriculture, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Agriculture Regulation And Compliance, Preferably In A Government Setting.
In-Depth Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Agriculture And Food Safety.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Including Farmers, Industry Professionals, And Government Officials.
