The State of Tennessee is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Park Ranger 1.   1. Patrol and Monitor Park Activities: As a Park Ranger 1, you will be responsible for patrolling and monitoring park activities to ensure the safety and security of park visitors. This includes regularly checking designated areas and responding to any potential safety hazards.
  2. Provide Information and Assistance: One of the key responsibilities of a Park Ranger 1 is to provide information and assistance to park visitors. This includes answering questions, giving directions, and providing recommendations for recreational activities.
  3. Enforce Park Rules and Regulations: It is the duty of a Park Ranger 1 to enforce all park rules and regulations. This includes educating visitors on park policies and issuing warning or citations when necessary.
  4. Conduct Park Maintenance: As a member of the park team, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance tasks such as picking up litter, maintaining trails, and ensuring facilities are clean and in good working condition.
  5. Educate on Environmental Conservation: A crucial aspect of this role is to educate visitors on the importance of environmental conservation and the impact of their actions on the park's ecosystem. This may include leading educational programs or giving presentations on conservation efforts.
  6. Assist in Emergency Situations: In the event of an emergency, you will be responsible for responding quickly and appropriately to ensure the safety of park visitors. This may involve administering first aid, coordinating with emergency services, or evacuating the area.
  7. Collaborate with Park Staff: As a Park Ranger 1, you will work closely with other park staff to ensure the smooth operation of the park. This may include collaborating on events, sharing information, and assisting with any park projects.
  8. Maintain Records and Reports: It is important to keep accurate records and reports of any incidents or activities that occur within the park. As a Park Ranger 1, you will be responsible for maintaining these records and submitting them to your supervisor.
