
PROBATION/PAROLE OFFICER 1

- Supervise and monitor individuals under criminal justice supervision to ensure compliance with court-ordered conditions and supervision requirements.
- Conduct regular meetings and interviews with probationers/parolees to assess progress and address any issues or concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized case plans for each probationer/parolee, taking into consideration their needs, risks, and strengths.
- Collaborate with other criminal justice professionals, such as judges, attorneys, and treatment providers, to coordinate services and support rehabilitation efforts.
- Conduct thorough investigations and assessments to gather information on the offender's history and current situation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed case records and documentation of all interactions and interventions.
- Enforce sanctions and take appropriate action when probationers/parolees violate the terms of their supervision.
- Provide referrals and connect individuals with community resources and services to support their successful reintegration into society.
- Educate probationers/parolees on their legal rights and responsibilities, as well as the consequences of non-compliance.
- Stay up-to-date on laws, policies, and procedures related to probation and parole and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for probationers/parolees, promoting pro-social behaviors and responsible decision-making.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with probationers/parolees, colleagues, and the community.
- Support the agency's mission and goals by actively promoting public safety and reducing recidivism.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or agency leadership.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Probation And Parole.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Ability To Effectively Manage A Caseload Of Probationers And Parolees.
Experience In Conducting Assessments, Developing Treatment Plans, And Monitoring Progress Of Individuals Under Supervision.
