  1. Provide individualized vocational counseling and guidance to individuals with disabilities to help them achieve their career goals.
  2. Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the vocational needs and abilities of clients.
  3. Develop individualized plans for each client, outlining steps to achieve their vocational goals.
  4. Collaborate with employers, educational institutions, and community resources to identify job opportunities and support services for clients.
  5. Assist clients in developing job search skills and techniques, such as resume writing and interviewing.
  6. Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure clients' successful employment placement and retention.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and services provided.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current laws, regulations, and best practices related to vocational rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities.
  9. Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring equal access to employment opportunities and accommodations.
  10. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive and coordinated services to clients.
  11. Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills related to vocational rehabilitation counseling.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients.
  13. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of services.
  14. Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the agency by actively participating in team meetings and committees.
  15. Promote awareness and understanding of disabilities and vocational rehabilitation services through outreach and community education efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Rehabilitation Counselor (Crc) Through The Commission On Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (Crcc).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, Preferably In A Government Setting.

  • Working Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Vocational Rehabilitation, Including The Americans With Disabilities Act (Ada) And The Rehabilitation Act.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Clients, Employers, And Other Service Providers.
