- Conduct field surveys and collect data on wildlife populations, including species abundance, distribution, and health.
- Assist with the implementation of conservation and management plans for various wildlife species.
- Monitor and maintain wildlife habitats, including conducting habitat assessments and implementing habitat improvement projects.
- Conduct research on wildlife behavior, population trends, and other relevant topics.
- Assist with the capture, handling, and release of wildlife for research, management, and conservation purposes.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to develop and implement effective wildlife conservation strategies.
- Educate the public on wildlife conservation efforts and promote responsible interactions with wildlife.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on wildlife activities, including data collection, equipment usage, and field observations.
- Operate and maintain equipment, such as cameras, GPS devices, and traps, used in wildlife research and management.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in the field.
- Stay up-to-date on current wildlife conservation practices and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by supervisors.
Bachelor's Degree In Wildlife Management, Biology, Or A Related Field.
Experience Working With And Handling Wildlife, Preferably In A Field Or Lab Setting.
Knowledge Of Local And Federal Laws And Regulations Pertaining To Wildlife Conservation And Management.
Ability To Operate And Maintain Field Equipment Such As Gps Devices, Traps, And Tracking Devices.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As The Job May Require Interaction With The Public, Other Agencies, And Wildlife Professionals.
