Job Description

Stryker is a global leader in medical technology and is looking for a Director of Engineering with the expertise to lead our Engineering team in delivering innovative medical technologies. As the Director of Engineering, you will be charged with envisioning, developing, and delivering breakthrough medical technologies in an environment of creative excellence and collaboration. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, a strong technical background, and extensive experience in the medical device or related industries. In addition to having a passion for innovation and a track record of developing successful products, you must have excellent project management and communication skills and the ability to effectively lead a team. You must also demonstrate the ability to think strategically and creatively, as well as possess a strong sense of business acumen and the ability to manage a budget. Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Engineering team in the development of innovative medical technologies.
  2. Monitor and ensure the team meets project deadlines and budget constraints.
  3. Manage daily operations of the Engineering team.
  4. Develop technical strategies to ensure successful product development.
  5. Create and maintain a collaborative and creative environment.
  6. Maintain a strong understanding of the medical device and related industries.
  7. Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Analyze and evaluate current technologies, processes, and products.
  9. Provide technical guidance and support to the Engineering team.
  10. Research and assess new technologies and trends.
  11. Provide regular reports to senior management on the progress and status of projects.
  12. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws.
