Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Certified Phlebotomy Technician Program: Candidates For A Certified Phlebotomy Technician Job At Sutter Health Must Have Completed A Formal Training Program From An Accredited Institution. This Program Should Cover Topics Such As Anatomy And Physiology, Medical Terminology, And Phlebotomy Techniques.

  • Certification: Sutter Health Requires All Certified Phlebotomy Technicians To Hold A Valid Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Experience: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience Working As A Phlebotomy Technician Is Preferred By Sutter Health. This May Include Working In A Hospital, Clinic, Or Other Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Safety And Infection Control Protocols: The Job Of A Phlebotomy Technician Involves Handling Blood And Other Bodily Fluids, So It Is Crucial For Candidates To Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety And Infection Control Procedures To Prevent The Spread Of Diseases.
