- Accurately prepare and dispense medications for hospitalized patients under the direction of a pharmacist.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient medication management for patients.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, including addressing any questions or concerns they may have about their medications.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure all medications are prepared accurately and according to established protocols.
- Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy and the handling of medications.
- Maintain inventory and stock levels of medications to ensure an adequate supply for patient needs.
- Utilize computer systems to enter and retrieve patient information, medication orders, and other relevant data.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and timely patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve knowledge and skills related to pharmacy practice.
- Serve as a positive and professional representative of the pharmacy department and Sutter Health to patients, visitors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality pharmacy services and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
- Maintain a Pharmacy Technician License from the state of California and comply with all requirements for renewal.

High School Diploma Or Ged: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht): Candidates Must Be Certified By The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) As A Cpht.
Inpatient Pharmacy Experience: Previous Experience Working In An Inpatient Pharmacy Setting Is Preferred.
Knowledge Of Medications And Dosages: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Medications, Dosages, And Pharmaceutical Calculations.
Attention To Detail: Inpatient Pharmacy Technicians Must Have Strong Attention To Detail In Order To Accurately Prepare And Dispense Medications For Patients.
