
Licensed Vocational Nurse, Urology

- Provide direct patient care to urology patients, including assisting with procedures, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborate with the urologists and other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on urology conditions, treatments, and medication instructions.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including documenting patient care and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the urologist and escalate any urgent concerns.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and managing patient flow.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide compassionate and comprehensive care.
- Stay up-to-date on current urology practices and procedures, and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Maintain professional standards and ethical practices in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and other third-party payers as needed to ensure timely reimbursement for services.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, promoting a supportive and welcoming environment for patients and colleagues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback to improve patient care processes.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and addressed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare team or management.
Valid Lvn License In The State Of California.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Urology Nursing.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Urological Procedures And Treatments.
Ability To Assess And Monitor Patient's Condition And Provide Appropriate Care.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Urologists And Other Healthcare Professionals.
